Jammie Thomas has been ordered to pay over £109,000 ($220,000) for downloading illegal music via Kazzaa.

She still maintains she is innocent, however, the Minnesota court found her guilty of  sharing almost 1,700 songs. She is been sued by over 9 Record labels, and been fined the large amount.

Previously, downloaders were charged around $5000, and didnt even goto courty, but it shows that illegal downloads are becoming a major pain in the neck for artists and labels alike.

I want to use this post to ask anyone who is downloading and sharing music, to stop. Full stop. Its shameful, really. Are you really saving yourself any money if your going to be fined sooner or later by the music industry.
